Lil Tecca gästas av & Juice WRLD i "Ransom (Remix)"

16-åriga Lil Tecca slog igenom med sin hitsingel ”Ransom” som släpptes i mars, låten klättrade till top 10 på Billboard Hot 100 och toppade många andra listor. I en intervju till Complex sade Tecca.

”I don’t really think anything’s making me stand out. I ain’t trying to stand out,” han fortsatte ”I’m just doing me and people gravitate to it. I have real people that support me. It’s not like no computers. These are real people. I don’t know why people like me, just the same way that I don’t know why people don’t like me.”

Tidigare teasade New York-rapparen att han hade en remix på låten med Juice WRLD och att han skulle släppa den ifall hans Instagram post fick 1000 kommentarer. Inom 10 minuter hade han fått 10 000 kommentarer och rapparen höll sitt ord och släppte låten. Juice WRLD hoppar på refrängen och levererar en egen vers med en del referenser till 90-talets populärkultur.

”I’m in it to win it, I’ma be the best, yes sir/Started from the bottom, I ain’t had no one, yes sir,” he raps. ”[…] Feel like yesterday I was just watching Fresh Prince/Now the crib look like Bel-Air, R.I.P. to Uncle Phil/Money big, Uncle Phil/Twin Glocks, Phil and Lil.”
