Lucky Daye släpper EPn 'Table For Two'

Amerikanska låtskrivaren och RnB-sångaren Lucky Daye fortsätter att växa i relevans och släpper nu EPn Table For Two. Förra året uppmärksammades han bland annat för sitt bidrag till A COLORS SHOW där han framförde låten ”BUYING TIME”. På den nya EPn får hans röst i vanlig ordning skina starkt, men backas även upp av en stark lineup av kvinnliga RnB-sångerskor.

Han har faktiskt gästinhopp på samtliga spår förutom det trettio sekunder långa introt till plattan. Först ut är Yebba som samarbetar med Lucky Daye på den vibiga ”How Much Can A Heart Take”. På nästa spår, ”On Read”, hörs Tiana Major9 som även tidigare släppts som en singeln inför EPn. Missa inte heller brittiska Mahalia på ”My Window”, Ari Lennox på ”Access Denied”, Queen Naija på ”Dream” och Joyce Wrice på skivans sista spår ”Falling In Love”.

EPn Table For Two är helt klart ett kvitto på att Lucky Daye är på ingång att bli ett av det hetaste namnen inom genren. Lyssna nedan och se vad du tycker!

For Lucky Daye, the second half of 2020 was focused on releasing a handful of various singles as well as features such as his team-up with soul artist Leon Bridges for “All About You”. To kick off the new year, the New Orleans native has delivered a fresh new EP entitled “Table For Two”.

The record has a total of seven new pieces, one being an intro that just has Lucky Daye, while the rest are full-fledged songs made in collaboration with a star studded cast of female R&B artists. “On Read” — the first single from this body of work made alongside Tiana Major9 — appears as Track 3. From there, Yebba makes her way onto “How Much Can A Heart Take”, Mahalia shows up on “My Window”, Ari Lennox makes her presence felt on “Access Denied”, Queen Naija hops on “Dream” and Joyce Wrice inserts her vocal talent on “Falling in Love”.

While the album was released 48 hours before Valentine’s Day and holds a moniker that is suggestive of a romantic evening dinner, the content of each songs are anything but that and reflect that of emotional heartbreak and frustration.
