Nike President & CEO Mark Parker lämnar sin post

Nike’s CEO Mark Parker avslöjade att han kommer att lämna sin roll som företagets President och CEO. Parker som varit Nike’s CEO sedan 2006 kommer dock troligtvis vara kvar som ordförande i styrelsen.

Mark Parker kommer att ersättas av John Donahoe som för närvarande är President och CEO på ServiceNow. Han har tidigare haft chefsposter på företag som PayPal, eBay och Bain & Co. I ett uttalande säger Parker att han är överlycklig över att John börjar på Nike och menar att hans erfarenhet kommer lyfta Nike digitalt.

“His expertise in digital commerce, technology, global strategy and leadership combined with his strong relationship with the brand, make him ideally suited to accelerate our digital transformation and to build on the positive impact of our Consumer Direct Offense. I look forward to continuing to lead the Board as Executive Chairman, as well as partnering closely with John and the management team to help him transition to his new role.”

Donahoe har varit med i Nike styrelsen sedan 2014 och meddelar att han är glad över att få en större roll i företaget. “It is an honor to become President and CEO of this amazing, innovative company, and to join the more than 76,000 talented and passionate employees dedicated to serving athletes,” säger han. “Over the last five years, I’ve been proud to be connected to Nike through my role on the Board and now look forward to being a full-time member of the team, working even more closely with Mark, building on Nike’s success and seizing the opportunities ahead.”

Förändringen kommer att ske 13 januari, 2020 och Parker kommer fortsätta leda Nike styrelsen och jobba nära med Donahoe.
